Yoga and yoga therapy

Continue your journey toward improved health and well-being through engagement with the philosophy and practice of yoga. Far from a one-size-fits-all approach, I utilize my extensive training in Viniyoga to craft a healing yoga practice tailored specifically for you and your body. I focus on function over form, with an emphasis on integrating your flow of movement of the breath with the movement of your spine. Skilled in trauma sensitive yoga, I have developed and taught yoga programs for addiction recovery, working in groups and with individuals to support their unique recovery processes.

Ready to free up old patterns and discover the inherent joy within? I am available both for in person and online classes. Contact me to schedule your private session today!

Come join me for a Breath and Prana Workshop at Breathe Yoga in Vancouver, WA. Oct. 20th from 11:30 - 2:30 pm. To register, go to: http://www.breatheyogavancouver.com/

[Phyllis’] class is incredible! I reach states of mind that there’s no words for. I feel whole and complete and blissful after I take the class. I realized that this is what people are looking for when they do drugs. I couldn’t explain it to my boyfriend because it’s too big to put into words. If people can experience this state of mind all the time, they wouldn’t do drugs; they’d be happy and at peace.

Spotlight on Prenatal yoga

Prenatal yoga brings sensitive focus and gentle attention to the mother-to-be through breathing, relaxation, strengthening and stabilizing. Sessions are conducted in a calm, peaceful environment and help strengthen the uterus and pelvic muscles, improve circulation, aid in digestion, exercise the spine and increase overall comfort. Breathwork and meditation techniques are used to instill a feeling of trust in one's own inner wisdom during this time of change. A safe, open community allows you to freely discuss discomforts, concerns and joys. No prior yoga experience is necessary.

I took private lessons from Phyllis when I was pregnant. I loved her gentle guidance and the way she helped me to get in touch with my feelings about pregnancy, birth, and parenting. The yoga was great for building strength, but more importantly, for helping me to learn to let go.
