Counseling sessions are based on your needs, interests, and goals. My approach is
to integrate the tools of hypnotherapy, EFT, Eastern psychology and mindfulness practices.
Although one can create deep levels of healing working with yoga movements and
breathing, sometimes we need to work more directly with our mind to help
uproot deep seated patterns.
Hypnosis is the art of suggestion. Suggestions are invitations for you
to do something beneficial for yourself, for you to be able to communicate
more deeply with yourself. Working more directly with the mind is very beneficial in integrating
physical yoga*( if interested), emotional, and spiritual levels
Hypnosis can be further described as an intensely
focused attention utilizing the power of the subconscious mind to create change on a
deep and powerful level. Although hypnosis has often been misunderstood as
a gimmick which makes people cluck like chickens, (or other such misperceptions
derived from 'stage hypnosis'); it is simply a practice that induces a state
of intensely focused attention, to help get past the conscious mind to access
the power of the subconscious. It is a direct way to reach your subconscious
mind which governs our beliefs, habits, and behaviors.
Hypnotherapy is the specific practice of using hypnosis to create
change. This can be helpful in working with difficult pasts, belief
change, as well as overcoming habits, such as smoking or weight loss. Learning
self-hypnosis can also be very helpful to individuals experiencing anxiety,
depression, or other disorders worsened by stress.
By utilizing the tools of Transformational
Healing (combined with EFT and mindfulness, you can release long held emotional
patterns that no longer serve your growth and development. EFT (Emotional Freedom
Techniques) provide a quick and easy way to eliminate pain, cravings, and negative
emotions. It is a simple technique similar to acupuncture or acupressure.
However, with EFT instead of needles or pressure, you tap on energy points throughout
your upper body. EFT may be used during hypnotherapy sessions as an effective
tool to shift energy.
